I am very sad at the moment and wanted to dedicate this post to my very best friend in the whole world which was my Pomeranian "Corkie". He always had time for me, listened to me even when I babbled, which is every time I get up tight, he never sassed me or talked back, he always wore a smile which I needed to see many times. I had him since he was 5 weeks old and he was going to turn 11 this february. I will miss you my friend, thank you for being part of my life..

I have a good Friend in Colorado, Leslie, and she sent me a beautiful gift for Christmas. I have been waiting for a pretty sunny day to take a pic but this will be the 4Th day with very little sun so I am going to post it anyway....Leslie has been a friend of mine since I started crazy quilting and she belongs to the very first group that I joined when I decided that I would love to learn this beautiful art which is crazyquiling international or CQI. She has been there to help me whenever I needed it and has always given me a warm smile and/or a boot in the pants if I needed it. She has helped me get the very nasty self critic, that I have trouble with, off my shoulders and is very encouraging. Her talent for crazy quilting is UN-matchable, I think her art signature is "trees" she does some pretty awesome ones and I am proud to call her my friend. I trust her opinion immensely. Thank you Leslie for this beautiful gift and I will treasure it always..I look forward to a day when we can meet in person.

Just wanted to share some pics of my granddaughters first Christmas along with her Daddy (my son Gene) and grandson (Dayton). I think she had fun she really is not feeling well cutting her tooth plus she has a touch of something...enjoy
I finally got to open my Christmas crackers that I received from the crazy quuilting group that I belong to. We received them in the mail about 2 or 3 weeks prior to Christmas and if anyone knows me I am not the waiting type. I received from Alice and Debbie and they are just wonderful. But I did manage to hold out this year and they are filled with all kinds of yummie stuff to add to my cq stash so I would love for you to take a gander at them....enjoy
Well the big day has ended and I truly enjoyed my family this holiday. We had dinner and chatted, played with the grandkids and my daughter leigh-Anne and her Husband Jermey gave my husband and I one of those scrolling picture frames and it is really awesome to have so many pictures to look at just by glancing at it....I am posting some pics of my house on this day and I hope you all had a wonderful time with friends and family..Pictures of family to follow since they are on the other camera.....

On my CQI group we exchange Christmas crackers. Which are actually about an 8" towel paper roll filled with buttons, thread, fibers, beads, fabrics and all kinds of trinkets, silkies, lace to do crazy-quilting with. You make a cq block and wrap it around the roll and then you can add wrapping paper or fabric around that and tie it off and then send it to different cq sisters and you get one in exchange. The hardest part is waiting until Christmas to open them. Now I have to tell the truth here and say that last year I could not wait...curiosity got the best of me and I had to open but so far this year it has not and I think I may be able to hold out...only because I am really busy this year with Dayton being with us and all that I kind of try not to think about it...this is a pic of the two that I sent out this year. I will later take a pic of the 2 that I received....
I am finally getting around to posting some pics of our first snow here and it was beautiful. We never really get too much here anymore but this was early in the morning and so beautiful. It melted by noon but all 8 of us were up at 6:30 to see it. My grandson Dayton never saw snow before so we bundled him up so he could throw his first snow ball at age 8. Pretty awesome huh? There is something about the snow when it has not been touched that always tugs at my heart. It is so clean, so quiet I guess a could way of explaining it would be pure in the truest form. But I hope you see what I saw that morning.....I hope you all get to hold your family close and keep goodness in your heart. Happy Holidays!!!

A friend of mine saw a pic of an iron caddy in a magazine it did not have a pattern it was just a picture so she designed a caddy similar to the one she saw in a magazine and this is my version. This way when you take your iron with you and it is hot you can still pack it up and be on your way. No more waiting for it to cool...yeah
My siamese cat got out one night and then 8 weeks later we had 3 beautiful kittens and I only have one left and would love to keep her but since I am allergic to cats I think one is enough don't you..so here is "Bella" who had just found a new Mom I will miss her..
I have been working like mad trying to get some gifts done, here are a few that I managed to complete and I had a deadline to get them done..there is one more that I am almost done but need a little more time. I won;t post that one until my good friend receives it but here is a pic of some of what I have been doing...enjoy
